Bug 243698 was created in January 2020. We had an issue in the past where Auto-Assignment wasn't occurring. This is likely one of the bugs that was not identified at the time

If Auto-Assignment doesn't function for newly/recently created isues, please re-open the issue adding those affected issue ID's to See Also
