Description bergerkos 2020-06-22 15:18:03 UTC
In version 6.4.4 built locally PDF exported from Writer documents contain no fonts, only random symbols. The same behaviour observed in version 6.4.4.2 installed from officially built packages (separate installation for testing purposes).

The same about printing to file (PDF).

On the other hand, printing to file from Firefox on the same system works fine.

Tested under CURRENT.

(Im)possible workaround: Changing default printing method to PS (Tools > Print > uncheck the box for PDF as default printing method) and print to PS file, then convert to PDF using pdf2ps. That works fine.
So, only PDF printing doesn't work. At that, images, tables and graphical objects are inserted in PDF all right. Only text is missing.

Sorry, I mean Tools > Options > Print.
Comment 2 bergerkos 2020-06-22 17:17:24 UTC
This may be related to CURRENT, so I posted to the mailing list there. Some people report version 6.4.4 exports to PDF all right under 12.1-p6. I can't double that as I'm still using 6.3.6 under 12.1. That one works fine, but is discouraged via security advisory.

This PR seems to be the same as bug #247444

Please continue any further discussion relating to this issue in bug#247444 to help consolidate the potential cause, thanks.
