Several FreeBSD tools use the nameservers gns1.freebsd.org and gns2.freebsd.org to build a small CDN out of the regional mirrors. All services hosted on the CDN break when running an IPv6 only DNS resolver, because the nameservers are IPv4 only. DNS64 + NAT64 doesn't cover this problem, because the resolver would have to map its own requests.
