based on a discussion/thread on PostgreSQL's community workspace on Slack (https://postgresteam.slack.com/archives/C0FS3UTAP/p1603440839348800), we were able to identify and come with a patch which solves this issue.

This looks like it's already fixed in the upcoming (tomorrow) point releases? So no point in adding a patch for it.
