Hi Daniel, Can you consider to add filemon as a ports/packages instead of base system tool ? Regards -- rodrigo Why not add it to base? (In reply to Piotr Pawel Stefaniak from comment #2) Hi Pawel, No contradiction, it can be both. We can start by adding it to ports making it available for 12 & 13 users, then late it will be part of the base system for future releases. Formally, I don't need author approval to proceed, but it will be nice if we can work in synergy. regards -- rodrigo I'm not fussed either way, I only wrote it as a quick test to find something out and figured it would be useful - I haven't used it recently. @Daniel: I open PR #259099 to add filemon as a port because I found
it useful.
For now the dist file is extract from your patch and
stored in a web server I use for some of my ports distfile.
If you plan to publish it is another place (eg. github)
I will amend my port and use your location.
I will try to make this tool land on base. @Rodrigo Do you have cycles to make progress on this? filemon was committed as a port in bug #259099, so we can probably close for now, this request for an addition in base. |
