Hi Jose Fernando, Thanks for stepping up. There is an issue with the patch: ^Triage: Patch contains CRLF terminators. If you pasted it in bugzilla try to upload it as an attachment. Would you have a look at it? Created attachment 219874 [details]
Re-uploading patch file to fix line endings
As requested, I am uploading the patch file for this commit rather than pasting it directly into the submission box. I double-checked to make sure no Windows line endings snuck in, so hopefully this one works.

Created attachment 219848 [details] Patch file modifying the MAINTAINER field Good evening, The current binutils port version (2.33.1) is now over a year behind its upstream counterpart (2.35.1), and since this port currently lacks a maintainer, I would like to volunteer myself to take over this responsibility. Attached you will find the patch containing the edit to the maintainer field, as specified in the contribution documentation. This patch does not contain the version upgrade, as I thought it prudent to await further guidance before moving forward. Thank you for your consideration, Jose
