Hi Fernando, Thanks for providing a patch. I think it would make more sense to create a pkg-descr in devel/arcanist (which is the command line version) containing the WWW link to the user manual and keep the library manual for arcanist-lib like it is. If you agree, I'll change it like that. (In reply to Michael Gmelin from comment #1) Hi Michael, Yes, sounds better :) Thanks! (In reply to Fernando Apesteguía from comment #2) Cool. I'm planning to update the arcanist(-lib)/phabricator ports over the holidays and will use that opportunity to incorporate your change. (In reply to Michael Gmelin from comment #3) Excellent! There is no rush for this. A commit references this bug: Author: grembo Date: Fri Jan 1 19:19:33 UTC 2021 New revision: 559864 URL: https://svnweb.freebsd.org/changeset/ports/559864 Log: Give devel/arcanist its own pkg-descr. So it won't reuse the one from devel/arcanist-lib, which links to library documentation instead of a user manual. PR: 251937 Changes: head/devel/arcanist/Makefile head/devel/arcanist/pkg-descr |
Created attachment 220696 [details] Patch to the ports tree The current WWW points to a developer page with a huge list of classes. While this is good for people who want to develop arcanist itself, I think it is better if we point to the actual user's manual.
