running panel segfaults. The gdb trace is singularly unenlightening:

Starting program: /usr/X11R6/bin/panel 
(no debugging symbols found)...(no debugging symbols found)...
Program received signal SIGSEGV, Segmentation fault.

Unless you can provide patches, there's not a great deal that can 
be done here.  -current is so hideously unstable right now, that until 
such time as I can actually get a crashbox to last long enough to even 
build GNOME, you're out of luck (and probably shouldn't be running 
-current in the first place, IMO)
