Maintainer informed via mail Just an FYI... I tried installing newsboat outside of portmaster using: cd /usr/ports/www/newsboat/ && make install clean and got the same results as I did with portmaster. So, whatever is happening it does not appear to be portmaster's fault. I mention this as someone changed the title of this report to include "portmaster"; which was not me. Also... I had a reason to install weechat this evening (first time) and it also failed with more or less the same line near just before it error-ed out: "asciidoctor: not found" I have rubygem-asciidoctor installed (v2.0.10) and it shows in the beginning during the dependency check (beginning of my attached file). Maybe this has nothing to do with my problem as I am only about 3 years into running an office "fully" on FreeBSD and am certainly newer at this than many. So, I apologize if this finding is meaningless. I am just adding this info in case it "might" help in some way. As to my newbie eyes it looks like both of these programs are tripping over the same problem. I also have Ranger and CMUS installed (other cmd line programs) and they are working just fine. I figured it out. It was a ruby issue. Sorry, for bothering you. |
Created attachment 221483 [details] Command Line Output Current version v2.21_3 Failing to build using Portmaster on multiple workstations running FreeBSD 12.2-RELEASE-p2. I have attached a file containing the error message I am seeing. v2.21_2 was installed on these machines and working prior to trying to update to v2.21_3. I followed up with MAKE_JOBS_UNSAFE with the same results. Also, tried with Doc's enabled as well as disabled.
