Greetings!

As stated on https://www.freetype.org/#news in the entry
“FreeType moved to freedesktop.org” dated 2021-01-16:
> […] which have been renamed to freetype and freetype-demos (this is, we are

Should the same happen with print/freetype2 ?
Be aware: there is a port print/freetype for version 1.3.1 (which
should—in this case—be renamed to print/freetype1 I suppose).

Regards,
 Kalten

Hi,

Thanks for your report, in general we try to not "move ports around" as it can cause issues for users during updating. There are still quite a few distros who also use freetype2 so there no need to change in the regard however naming of port will be evaulated once 3.x comes around.

Best regards,
Daniel
