Found: <https://www.freebsd.org/releases/12.2R/readme/> <https://www.freebsd.org/releases/12.2R/relnotes/> <https://www.freebsd.org/releases/12.2R/hardware/> <https://www.freebsd.org/releases/12.2R/errata/> <https://www.freebsd.org/releases/13.0R/readme/> <https://www.freebsd.org/releases/13.0R/relnotes/> <https://www.freebsd.org/releases/13.0R/hardware/> <https://www.freebsd.org/releases/13.0R/errata/> CURRENT ======= <https://www.freebsd.org/relnotes/#_freebsd_current_release_documentation> I assume that nothing will be suitable until 14.0-CURRENT nears stable/14 or releng/14.0 … Page updated, but content of the links need more work. Thanks, so the style of URL is changing? For example: <https://www.freebsd.org/releases/12.2R/relnotes/> is found; <https://www.freebsd.org/relnotes/12-STABLE/relnotes/> is not (yet). Created attachment 222356 [details] Screenshot of part of the page as it currently appears (In reply to Graham Perrin from comment #3) From a comment in IRC: > … there has NEVER been release notes for STABLE. Clarification ============= My comment #3 was with reference to the page as it currently appears (captured: <https://archive.vn/RMKNe>), which, amongst other things: * refers to <https://www.freebsd.org/relnotes/..releases/> (not found) for RELEASE notes * uses the phrase 'STABLE Release' * refers to <https://www.freebsd.org/relnotes/12-STABLE/relnotes/> (not found). Thoughts ======== If relnotes.html – the primary link at <https://www.freebsd.org/releases/> – is a maintenance burden, and if its intended content already appears elsewhere: * maybe relnotes.html should be removed (with a corresponding edition to <https://www.freebsd.org/releases/>). I agree. I will delete the page and send patch on Phabricator A commit in branch main references this bug: URL: https://cgit.FreeBSD.org/doc/commit/?id=ae80d7bad0d02eb9def6fa63655d36e5451750cb commit ae80d7bad0d02eb9def6fa63655d36e5451750cb Author: Minsoo Choo <fel1x.mintchoco.development@gmail.com> AuthorDate: 2022-03-01 19:37:26 +0000 Commit: Daniel Ebdrup Jensen <debdrup@FreeBSD.org> CommitDate: 2022-03-01 19:37:26 +0000 relnotes: Remove references to documentation for !-RELEASE The release notes erroneously reference documentation that is not provided with either -CURRENT or -STABLE branches. If they ever existed, it's been a long time since they were removed, as a check on the ftp-archive reveals no existence of it as far back as 6-STABLE in and around 2005.
