a regression https://github.com/libgd/libgd/issues/615 was introduced in libgd 2.3.0
It has been fixed (#615) in libgd 2.3.1 see https://github.com/libgd/libgd/releases/tag/gd-2.3.1

Can you please update the port and the quaterly pkg to release 2.3.1
