Can you add the hardware (laptop model/desktop model/motherboard) please? I think this is likely related to an bios interaction and I need a little more to debug. Interesting tidbit: I upgraded the BIOS on mine today, as I have not done this for a few months. The behavior has changed somewhat: I was not able to make it wedge while on external power, but the exact moment I yank the power cable, it hangs. This is reproducible. I am fairly certain I've done the same in the past as it's guaranteed to tickle some power state changes, but I'm thinking the udpated BIOS (which has Win11 support, whatever that actually means) has changed how things behave ever so slightly. /Eirik Hi, Could you test with this patch? https://reviews.freebsd.org/D36699 Same issue with: System Information Manufacturer: GIGABYTE Product Name: GB-BSi5A-6200 Version: 1.x CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-6200U CPU @ 2.30GHz (2400.09-MHz K8-class CPU) Origin="GenuineIntel" Id=0x406e3 Family=0x6 Model=0x4e Stepping=3 Features=0xbfebfbff<FPU,VME,DE,PSE,TSC,MSR,PAE,MCE,CX8,APIC,SEP,MTRR,PGE,MCA,CMOV,PAT,PSE36,CLFLUSH,DTS,ACPI,MMX,FXSR,SSE,SSE2,SS,HTT,TM,PBE> Features2=0x7ffafbbf<SSE3,PCLMULQDQ,DTES64,MON,DS_CPL,VMX,EST,TM2,SSSE3,SDBG,FMA,CX16,xTPR,PDCM,PCID,SSE4.1,SSE4.2,x2APIC,MOVBE,POPCNT,TSCDLT,AESNI,XSAVE,OSXSAVE,AVX,F16C,RDRAND> AMD Features=0x2c100800<SYSCALL,NX,Page1GB,RDTSCP,LM> AMD Features2=0x121<LAHF,ABM,Prefetch> Structured Extended Features=0x29c67af<FSGSBASE,TSCADJ,SGX,BMI1,AVX2,SMEP,BMI2,ERMS,INVPCID,NFPUSG,MPX,RDSEED,ADX,SMAP,CLFLUSHOPT,PROCTRACE> XSAVE Features=0xf<XSAVEOPT,XSAVEC,XINUSE,XSAVES> VT-x: PAT,HLT,MTF,PAUSE,EPT,UG,VPID TSC: P-state invariant, performance statistics Handle 0x0000, DMI type 0, 24 bytes BIOS Information Vendor: American Megatrends Inc.
