Description tech-lists 2021-05-15 13:12:28 UTC
https://download.freebsd.org/ftp/snapshots/ISO-IMAGES/11.4 is missing:

aarch64 isos for rpi3

https://download.freebsd.org/ftp/snapshots/ISO-IMAGES/12.2/ is missing:

named images for arm6,7 and aarch64 like this, and not exclusively:

12.2-STABLE armv6 RPI-B
12.2-STABLE armv7 BANANAPI
12.2-STABLE armv7 BEAGLEBONE
12.2-STABLE armv7 CUBIEBOARD
12.2-STABLE armv7 CUBIEBOARD2
[...]

https://download.freebsd.org/ftp/snapshots/ISO-IMAGES/13.0/ is missing:

arm 6,7 isos and the only aarch64 is GENERIC

same goes for https://download.freebsd.org/ftp/snapshots/ISO-IMAGES/14.0/

Also, is the only-GENERIC for 13.0/14 deliberate? There has been no announcement about it in freebsd-snapshot@ freebsd-announce@ or freebsd-arm@

Recalling <https://www.freebsd.org/status/report-2020-10-2020-12.html#FreeBSD-Release-Engineering-Team> and the more recent transition to Git, maybe we're simply waiting for the infrastructure to come together for first (or more frequent) builds for some Tier 2 platforms …

> 12.2-STABLE armv6 RPI-B

<https://download.freebsd.org/ftp/snapshots/arm/armv6/ISO-IMAGES/12.2/> includes:

FreeBSD-12.2-STABLE-arm-armv6-RPI-B-20210506-r369733.img.xz

– do I misunderstand?

Hi,

(In reply to Graham Perrin from comment #2)

With regard to 12.2-STABLE, I'm talking about isos/imgs that should have been made on the 13th May.

I should have made that clear at the start of this ticket (I thought I'd copied all of https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=255786#c5 but a few lines at the top were missed)

Apologies for the noise. Thanks for the clarification.

Well, a different mix this week:

20210603 903526542ac includes:
o 14.0-CURRENT armv6 RPI-B
o 14.0-CURRENT armv7 GENERICSD
o 14.0-CURRENT aarch64 GENERIC
o 14.0-CURRENT aarch64 RPI
o 14.0-CURRENT aarch64 PINE64-LTS
o 14.0-CURRENT aarch64 PINEBOOK
o 14.0-CURRENT aarch64 ROCK64
o 14.0-CURRENT riscv64 GENERIC
o 14.0-CURRENT riscv64 GENERICSD

But 13.0-RELEASE has armv6 and armv7 missing:

20210603 4775325dd66 includes:
o 13.0-STABLE aarch64 GENERIC
o 13.0-STABLE aarch64 RPI
o 13.0-STABLE aarch64 PINE64
o 13.0-STABLE aarch64 PINE64-LTS
o 13.0-STABLE aarch64 ROCK64
o 13.0-STABLE aarch64 ROCKPRO64
o 13.0-STABLE riscv64 GENERIC
o 13.0-STABLE riscv64 GENERICSD

There are no 20210603 stable/12 snapshots at all.
(There are for stable/11 .)
Comment 6 tech-lists 2022-02-16 01:34:28 UTC
At the moment, there are no RPI images for snapshot/13

https://download.freebsd.org/snapshots/ISO-IMAGES/13.0/

The arm64.aarch64 images there just have EFI/BOOT/bootaa64.efi in their msdos partition.
Comment 7 Philip Paeps freebsd_committer freebsd_triage 2022-07-14 03:23:00 UTC
I believe this is fixed.

We ran into an odd syncthing/zfs interaction on some of the mirrors a while back. ZFS was not reclaiming freed space from deleted files. This caused syncthing to believe there was insufficient space for incoming files.

As far as I can tell, the mirrors are all in sync again now.

(In reply to Philip Paeps from comment #7)

There are problems going on trying to actually build some
of the stable/13 snapshot images, the ones for embedded
Small Board Computers. So: not just mirroring issues
currently.

But the original problem was dealt with and multiple other
problems have occurred and been fixed since then, as I
understand. There have been times since submittal when all
the images were present.

Keeping this active for a indefinite series of distinct
problems would seem odd. Closed FIXED for the original
problem seems reasonable to me.

Yep,

(In reply to Graham Perrin from comment #1)

that's now partly spun off to bug 265224.
