When I was running "make clean" after building x11/gnome3, I got this error:

make[2]: "/usr/ports/devel/lua-bitop/Makefile" line 26: String comparison operator must be either == or !=
make[2]: Fatal errors encountered -- cannot continue
make[2]: stopped in /usr/ports/devel/lua-bitop
*** Error code 1

We should fix this.

I cannot reproduce this problem. Do you still get this error message?

According to https://www.freshports.org/devel/lua-bitop, it builds fine on our package builders.
