Please make an option to disable SASL in net/openldap24-server.  With SASL enabled by default and no way to turn it off, I cannot get other ports, such as mail/tpop3d to auth via proxy.

I'd like to know the motivation too, though I use the cliently only with SASL due to GSS-API support.
