Description Pau Amma 2022-02-12 00:51:16 UTC
On the basis of "If you need advice on obscure network internals...", I forwarded https://lists.freebsd.org/archives/freebsd-net/2022-February/001246.html to them after a week or so without an answer. Turns out they haven't touched the TCP/IP stack in over 20 years, so that bit definitely needs to be updated, the sooner the better. Options as I see them:
- remove it altogether
- replace it with someone who knows about the current network stack
- use another example area, like the VM subsystem or something

What do others think?

I endorse removing my name. No strong opinion on what sort of replacement text (if any) would be appropriate.

I removed it by now, but I'm gonna make a call about this onto the developers@ mailing list to point to someone else :)
