Summary: burncd exits after displaying message 'fixating ...'
Product: Base System Reporter: lalitha <lalitha>

Description lalitha 2001-03-31 13:10:01 UTC
when i give the following command:

burncd -f /dev/acd0c data dt.iso fixate

1. data writes successfully
2. when "fixating ..." message displayed, the burncd exits immediately.

I get the following messages in bold:
acd0: PREVENT_ALLOW - ILLEGAL REQUEST asc=64 ascq=00 error=04

But the drive light keeps glowing and roughly after 2 mintues the light goes off. Cannot take out the CD. To remove the CD, i need to mount and unmount. When i mount the CD, the CD is OK and i am able to read data in the CD.

I am using Sony CD-RW (CRX100E).

This problem i didn't face in 4.2-RELEASE In 4.2-RELEASE, burncd used to wait until the light goes off (for fixating).

Fix:

just an user! don't know
How-To-Repeat: burncd -f /dev/acd0c data dt.iso fixate
