Description Conall O'Brien 2022-12-07 00:55:44 UTC
Hello,

I'm the maintainer of multimedia/py-soco in the ports tree.

While attempting to provide a maintainer patch via https://github.com/freebsd/freebsd-ports/pull/137 instead of patch files via Bugzilla, I discovered I am not authorized to create pull requests.

Could I have the ability to open pull requests to be reviewed by ports committers please?

As far as I know, Bugzilla remains the norm for updates to a port.

Please see the linked handbook, and, more generally:

FreeBSD workflow working group
<https://gitlab.com/bsdimp/freebsd-workflow>

(There's more flexibility around the documentation tree than the ports tree.)

I can't sign in to GitHub at the moment, so I can't tell what, if anything, is missing from what you created there.

Hint
====

Appending .diff to the tail of the URL of the PR gives us:

<https://github.com/freebsd/freebsd-ports/pull/137.diff>

-- there's a redirect to produce a diff:

<https://patch-diff.githubusercontent.com/raw/freebsd/freebsd-ports/pull/137.diff>

Github invite sent, but as you know by now GH is a read-only mirror and you need to push changes into our own repo.
