Musescore is a real pain in the butt to get to compile (upstream doesn't like Linux, actively ignores BSD as far as I can tell; there's lots of vendored third-party code that is difficult to build also). It'll take a while. (In reply to Adriaan de Groot from comment #1) Hi You are completely right. They are now depending on nonfree parts to get their new sound system working. And have removed most comments in the source code (compared to 3.x) so the code is almost impossible to get grip on. The debian maintainer of MS did send a bug report about this as a violation of the gpl. lisence. I backed him up quite a lot. The main developer closed the report and deleted it. They will not discuss it. So I will be impressed if it can be ported to FreeBSD, even without the new sound system that are totally closed source. Keep up the good work. I enjoy it every day :-) 4.1.0 landed in ports . I don't know if all of the useful features work, though -- and all of the options have gone away since it doesn't seem to want any of the audio-backend variants. |
