I have just opened bug report #269696 where I wanted to CC the whole status team by adding status@ in the CC field, but the address was not recognized and I had to add the team members individually. Would it be possible to have bugzilla recognize the status@ email address so that it is possible to CC it and assign bugs to it?

I have added a status@FreeBSD.org user.  It should have sent a notify message -- please let me know if not.

Yes, the email notification arrived and I have also just verified that adding the status@ user in the CC field works as expected.
