v0 (42.4)
v0 fails here: either due to sd_uid_get_display() stub or something else.
$ vidcontrol -s 1 </dev/ttyv0
$ ck-launch-session dbus-run-session mutter --wayland
libmutter-Message: Running Mutter (using mutter 42.4) as a Wayland display server
** (mutter:1234): WARNING **: Unable to determine list of session for pid: GDBus.Error:org.freedesktop.ConsoleKit.Manager.Error.InvalidInput: pid must be > 1
Failed to setup: Could not get session ID: Couldn't find a session or a greeter session for user 1001
I'm following this and waiting for an new update to test gnome on wayland |
Created attachment 242615 [details] v0 (42.4) Covers -Dnative_backend=true for starting Mutter directly from KMS-backed console like /dev/ttyv0. Disclaimer: I don't use GNOME, so didn't test runtime.
