Bug 27391

Summary: /usr/ports/INDEX does not reflects last ports updates
Product: Ports & Packages Reporter: alexs <alexs>
Component: Individual Port(s)Assignee: freebsd-ports (Nobody) <ports>
Status: Closed FIXED
Severity: Affects Only Me
Priority: Normal
Version: Latest
Hardware: Any
OS: Any

Description alexs 2001-05-16 19:00:01 UTC
INDEX does not contains lines about new ports (strace, for example). Also,
information about old ports versions is out of date (midnight commander has
version 4.5.51 there vs. 4.5.54 in distfiles and ports tree).

Fix:

Run the script to build INDEX once a day by somebody who is responsible
for that <g>.
How-To-Repeat:
Well, commit a new port or update version of any old one and check next day
the INDEX file.

ports/INDEX is updated weekly. If this isn't frequent enough for you, you can
do it on your local machine (cd /usr/ports; make index). It takes quite a
while, however.
