Summary: Can't extract bin to /
Product: Base System Reporter: thorstedsl <thorstedsl>

Status: Closed FIXED
Severity: Affects Only Me

OS: Any

Description thorstedsl 2001-05-18 21:20:01 UTC
Set bios to boot from CDROM.
Install begins and I'm able to go through the screens. The program gets to the screen that says:
"Extracting Bin into / directory" Then I get this message:
"Write failure on transfer (wrote -1 bytes of 240640 bytes)" I retry and it tries to load up to the same point and then gives the same error message.

My first guess is that you're making the root filesystem big enough.
Can you check the other virtual terminals (by pressing ALT+F1,
ALT+F2, ...) to see if there are any error messages.
