(In reply to alexvpetrov from comment #0) The --try-broken option is meant to allow building ports marked as BROKEN or IGNORE. But I do agree that setting TRYBROKEN for some port in /etc/make.conf is a useful enhancement, which will be provided in an upcoming update of portmaster.
