Bug 27629

Summary: chown(8) manpage doesn't state default
Product: Documentation Reporter: Bernd Luevelsmeyer <bdluevel>
Component: Books & ArticlesAssignee: ru <ru>
Status: Closed FIXED
Severity: Affects Only Me
Priority: Normal
Version: Latest
Hardware: Any
OS: Any

Description Bernd Luevelsmeyer 2001-05-25 01:40:04 UTC
The options -H, -L and -P are mutually exclusive and determine
the behaviour if -R is supplied and a symbolic link is encountered.
One of the options obviously has to be the default, but it's not
described which one.

Fix:

Add "This is the default." to the -P option (links are never
followed).
How-To-Repeat: man 8 chown
