you click submit on his web page, and X grinds to a halt.
you can work fine from a VT, but X is completely unusable
and stays that way across Ctrl-Alt-Backspace.
going to single user mode and back will fix it.
also, you get stuff like this in /var/log/messages:

May 28 20:36:09 hp0 /kernel: no memory for rx list -- packet dropped!
May 28 20:36:09 hp0 /kernel: xl0: no memory for rx list -- packet dropped!
May 28 20:36:09 hp0 last message repeated 710 times
May 28 20:38:09 hp0 last message repeated 13 times

Fix:

avoid submitting that form at all costs.
How-To-Repeat: 1. go here

     http://www.rexswain.com/httpview.html

2. use yahoo for the form input

     http://www.yahoo.com

3. click submit.
4. if nothing terrible happens, reload (repost form data).
