Product: Base System Reporter: David Yeske <dyeske>
Component: binAssignee: freebsd-qa (Nobody) <qa>
Status: Closed FIXED
Severity: Affects Only Me
Priority: Normal
Version: Unspecified
Hardware: Any
OS: Any

Description David Yeske 2001-05-29 08:50:00 UTC
afd0 does not show up in fdisk menu of /stand/sysinstall even though afd is listed in src/release/sysinstall/devices.c

{ DEVICE_TYPE_DISK, "afd%d", "ATAPI/IDE floppy device", 118, 65538, 8, 4 },

Fix:

possibly issues with devices.c or libdisk.h
How-To-Repeat: run /stand/sysinstall from a machine running FreeBSD that has a ide ls120 installed

-qa is the best place for sysinstall bugs.

Unfortunately I don't have any LS120 hardware to test this on. Does
the problem still exist with FreeBSD 4.4-STABLE? Does your afd device
show up in the probe messages while the system is booting?

I will try it this week and get back to you...

Use short names for mailing list to make searches
using the web query form work with the shown responsible.

This also makes open PRs show up in the summery mail.
