prboblem packets appeared on our network, after that all of our FreeBSD 4.3 machines hangs (even non answer vrom console)
all other versions (3.3RELEASE, 4.0STABLE, 4.1RELEASE)just reports in messages log: /kernel: arp: ether address is broadcast for IP address xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx! and, may be, slows down, but stays operatable.

Fix: 

:( still have no idea :(
How-To-Repeat: we got that problem during work with Multitech VOIP200 voice gateway (or software shipped with it)

Please show us 'ifconfig -a' and 'netstat -rn' 
In addition, are you doing multicast?  How are you sending? 
Also please explain your setup to us.
