Description Andrew McKay 2001-07-05 23:00:13 UTC
The AMI MG80649 RAID controller, such as on the I-Will KK266-R, does not appear to be supported in FreeBSD at present.

Fix:

Sadly I can't offer anything better than 'write driver'. If I could then I would but I just ain't that kinda genius.
How-To-Repeat: 1) Purchase/steal/otherwise obtain some kind of motherboard that uses said RAID chipset.
2) Purchase/steal/otherwise obtain sufficient drives for a RAID array.
3) Create a RAID array as per instructions/intuition.
4) Boot into FreeBSD.
5) Attempt to use said RAID array and note that this appears to be impossible.
6) (optional) Be annoyed at the above fact.

The way to fix this is to send hardware to an appropriate
developer.
