Summary: [psm] Bug in psm in 4.4-RC
Product: Base System Reporter: Christopher Preston <rbg>
Component: kernAssignee: freebsd-bugs (Nobody) <bugs>
Status: Closed FIXED
Severity: Affects Only Me
Priority: Normal
Version: Unspecified
Hardware: Any
OS: Any

Description Christopher Preston 2001-08-29 21:40:01 UTC
After upgrading from a 2 month-old 4.3-STABLE install to 4.4-RC, the scrollwheel on my logitech optical mouse would invoke button-3 when scrolling up in the root window, and when changing scroll direction in galeon.

Fix:

Reverting rev 1.23.2.4 of src/sys/isa/psm.c fixes the problem
How-To-Repeat: Roll the scrollwheel up and down where ever button-3 would create a menu.

Ok, I will see to this.

Would you please supply some more information by doing the following?

1. Use psm.c rev 1.23.2.5, add
options PSM_DEBUG=2
in your kernel config, and rebuild the kernel.
2. Start the system by giving 'boot -v' at the loader prompt.
3. Send me output from dmesg.
4. Tell me the exact name and the model number (printed on the belly)
   of your Logitec mouse.

Thank you for your cooperation.

Is this still a problem with modern versions of FreeBSD?
