The problem is probably that moused does not get restarted. usbd will only restart it if there is a detach/attach event. Nick Responsible Changed From-To: freebsd-bugs->n_hibma USB is my baby. Hi, I cannot confirm that for FreeBSD 4.5-STABLE as of Feb 16, 2002. Everything works fine here with my new USB-Mouse. FreeBSD seems to become a desktop system ;-) Ciao/BSD - Matthias -- *************************************************************************** * Matthias Schuendehuette msch@snafu.de * * Solmsstrasse 44 * * D-10961 Berlin Engineering Systems Support and Operation * * Germany (Powered by FreeBSD 4.5-STABLE) * *************************************************************************** State Changed From-To: open->feedback Is this still a problem with modern versions of FreeBSD? My USB Logitech optical mouse does not function after going to single user mode via "shutdown now", then return'ing. I have tried restarting usbd, but that does not work. The only way that I have found to work is to reboot. NOTE: I can only test its functionality in X. I get no cursor in my console when using this mouse (I do have a console cursor in 4.X though) Fix: unknown How-To-Repeat: 1. Use a Logitech USB optical mouse 2. Boot normally 3. shutdown now 4. return 5. startx
