Description Christophe Pedretti 2001-09-09 16:10:01 UTC
When the machine is connected to the internet through an ADSL
connexion using ppp and PPPoE sometime the box hangs

The machine is a Toshiba Satellite 320CDT with a xircom
ethernet adapter.

How-To-Repeat: ping -s 1464 internetHost : OK
ping -s 1465 internetHost : HANGS with error message
/kernel: couldn't m_pullup
Comment 1 Christophe Pedretti 2001-09-09 22:30:26 UTC
ping -s 1465 localNetworkHost : OK
Comment 2 Christophe Pedretti 2001-09-10 21:33:17 UTC
It seems that the error message /kernel: couldn't m_pullup
is not related to my issue.

Instead, the system hangs with no message.

I can do a ping -s anyPacketSize IPFromLocalNetwork
with no problem; the problem appears only when i ping
an internet host with a pack size greater or equal to 1465
(ADSL with a PPPoE connection through ppp)

The ethernet adapter is a Xircom CEM56.

Does this still occur on more recent releases?
