Bug 32557

Summary: handbook entry for cvsup collection src/secure is outdated

Description siegbert.baude 2001-12-06 16:10:00 UTC
The handbook as available on
http://www.freebsd.org/doc/en_US.ISO8859-1/books/handbook/cvsup.html
says as description of the cvsup collection src/secure:

src-secure release=cvs
              DES (/usr/src/secure).

That is outdated, and src/secure is needed by make buildworld
to build src/crypto.

Fix:

I would suggest the same entry as in /usr/src/README:
Cryptographic libraries and commands.

Maybe an addition for both src/secure and src/crypto should be added,
that they are needed both. To explain the reason for two packages a hint
to look into /usr/src/crypto/README or the equivalent online-version
http://www.freebsd.org/cgi/cvsweb.cgi/src/crypto/README?rev=1.2.2.2&content-type=text/x-cvsweb-markup
would be useful.
How-To-Repeat: Read the above link. :-)
