Not known. fugu 1.8 is out too, so upgrading the port would be nice too...

I suggest that you contact the MAINTAINER of the port for an update. 
Without patches, there's not a lot we can do.

I've submitted a patch that upgrades the Fugu port to 1.1.8 and it should
also fix the problem mentioned in this report.

Take a look at ports/35898.
