Description Eric Anderson 2002-08-27 14:50:03 UTC
In the handbook chapter about XFree86 configuration (5.4.2), it incorrectly states that the skeleton configuration file (XF86Config.new) will be created in the current working directory. This is not true - it is actually created in the users' (in this case, root's) home directory.

How-To-Repeat: Look at the handbook section 5.4.2.

Its true that this is created in the 'root' directory. However, your patch
didn't apply. Instead I used <filename>/root</filename> for the /root
directory. It should now read: /root directory called in place of
current working directory. However, it may take up to 24 hours for
this change to appear on our website. Thanks for the submission!
