Summary: http://www.freebsd.org/search produces incorrect results in stable mailing list

Description sub 2002-09-08 20:00:15 UTC
search keyword 'amavisd', select stable mailing list only, select either SCORE or SUBJECT or AUTHOR. The returned results make no sense. It would appear it's searching the headers, but in the case of selecting AUTHOR, it still returned incorrect results. It would appear that either the cache has gone bad or the code doesn't allow for the selection of 'stable' only

Fix:

correct the cache on the FreeBSD website? maybe the search code is broken?

the Search pages enable you to sort by subject, author or score.
It does not mention that it searches for the keyword in only
those headers. If a email contains amavisd for example
(in the headers added by some scanning engine) it will be
a hit, even if it isn't listed in the body or in the author
section.

So, after this explaination, would this still be a PR?

My guess is that this isn't a problem at all, the search
pages are just doing what they need to do and this is
a misinterpretion.

Feedback please, if no feedback is recieved after a week
i will close this PR.

From what i can see the pages do exactly what we have told them to do.
No feedback was given so i am closing this PR.
