sobomax committed a different fix on October 21. Does that fix your problem?

No it does not. sobomax's commit is not a fix, it is a hack.

I asked sobomax to revert his patch and commit my fixes, but
he ignored my e-mail.

My patch is a true C++ fix, which works on the old (2.95) and new
(3.2) compilers.
