I'm finding that I don't have the time to spend on these ports that I would
like. Release maintainership in the hope that someone will do a better job
than I.
The easiest fix for eddie would be for lang/erlang to be repo-copied to
lang/erlang8 and diff'ed back to version 8.1, then change the dependency
for eddie. Left as an exercise for someone else with more time.
