Product: Base System Reporter: Przemyslaw Frasunek <venglin>
Component: i386Assignee: freebsd-i386 (Nobody) <i386>
Status: Closed FIXED
Severity: Affects Only Me
Priority: Normal
Version: 5.1-RELEASE
Hardware: Any
OS: Any

Description Przemyslaw Frasunek 2003-07-23 13:50:18 UTC
Booting system with ACPI enabled causes absence of psm(4) device:

	psm0: unable to allocate IRQ

	Without ACPI, psm works properly.

Fix:

Disable ACPI.
How-To-Repeat: Boot system with ACPI enabled on Evo N1015v.

This also occurs on Compaq Presario 900 series laptops. With ACPI enabled,
psm does not show up; disabled, it shows up.

Well, now with FreeBSD 5.2R the psm is correctly detected on Compaq Evo
N1015v also with ACPI enabled.
