Bug 57134

Summary: lang/perl5: BSDPAN can't be disabled
Product: Ports & Packages Reporter: Tony Finch <fanf2>

Description Tony Finch 2003-09-23 18:00:30 UTC
When installing my own perl modules in a special self-contained
place to allow for multiple concurrent installations, testing,
up-and-downgrading, etc. I do not want BSDPAN faking package install
information because it screws up the package database. There doesn't
seem to be any way of stopping it for certain perl module installations.

After the recent update of lang/perl5 and lang/perl5.8, BSDPAN can be
disabled by setting DISABLE_BSDPAN environment variable to a value
recognized by Perl as true.
