Bug 58985

Summary: -CURRENT kernel hangs on booting after recognizing the keyboard
Product: Base System Reporter: Tamas R. <freddy>
Component: kernAssignee: freebsd-bugs (Nobody) <bugs>
Status: Closed FIXED
Severity: Affects Only Me
Priority: Normal
Version: 5.1-CURRENT
Hardware: Any
OS: Any

Description Tamas R. 2003-11-06 00:10:18 UTC
FreeBSD-current kernel causes the machine to hang completely on booting
after it recognized the keyboard. I cannot attact the log because it loses
after reboot (pushing the reset button).

I can only attach a log of a proper boot to demonstrate the problem (it is
not sure that the below lines are the same with the problematic kernel):
	...
	atkbdc0: <Keyboard controller (i8042)> port 0x64,0x60 irq 1 on acpi0
	atkbd0: <AT Keyboard> flags 0x1 irq 1 on atkbdc0
(This is the point where the freezing takes place.)

Can you break into the debugger with CTRL-ALT-ESC on the
system console (you will of course need a kernel with DDB
support)?
