I built a kernel from thursday's sources, I think, that was ok, but this morning's cvsup introduces this error. The problem appears to be that smp.h declares mp_maxid in an #ifdef SMP block, while the uma code doesn't differentiate. I believe the right workaround thing to do is add "options SMP" to your kernel config, even if it's not an SMP machine.
