Description Duncan Patton a Campbell 2003-12-18 02:20:21 UTC
The file /usr/src/sys/dev/usb/umass.c appears to have been updated
in the 4.9 system but not

Fix:

incorporate new umass code into 5....?
mebbe this is already planned.
How-To-Repeat: Try to run a Fuji camera as a umass storage device on
a 5.1 system which will run on a 4.9 system.

5.1 umass.c code matches broken code in 4.6 systems.

Loaded 4.9 on the (previously) 5.1 machine and it horked.

This likely means my old Toshiba 2500cds has bogey USB hw,
because, while the umass.c files differ, their behaviour
is the same.

Changes are first merged into HEAD. Since 4.9 was released after 5.1
it is very likely that the changes fixing your problem are already in 5.x.

Is this still a problem on 5.2.1?
