Bug 61907

Summary: 5.2 hangs when booting with cbb in kernel on IBM A31
Product: Base System Reporter: Christoph Mathys <xeon>
Component: i386Assignee: freebsd-bugs (Nobody) <bugs>
Status: Closed FIXED
Severity: Affects Only Me
Priority: Normal
Version: 5.2-RELEASE
Hardware: Any
OS: Any

Description Christoph Mathys 2004-01-25 21:40:04 UTC
When I disable ACPI and boot with 'device cbb' compiled into the kernel the boot process often hangs when probing cbb0 or cbb1. The problem only occured when the acpi-module is not loaded.

Fix:

compile a kernel without cbb driver
How-To-Repeat: Boot on an IBM A31 with acpi-module disabled and 'device cbb' in kernel.

We need more information:

boot -v output with and without ACPI.
