Description Victor Sudakov 2004-02-06 04:00:27 UTC
It is known that booting the kernel without loader(8) is fraught with
errors. However Handbook Section 19.7 recommends booting kernel via
etherboot as one of the two legitimate methods.

Fix:

Only booting via PXE and pxeboot(8) should be described in the
Handbook. All references to etherboot should be deleted.
How-To-Repeat: When did you last try to boot a diskless kernel prepared as
described in 19.7.1.4 via etherboot? It just does not work after
loading. See news:<bftrpf$1hik$1@ddt.demos.su> and other numerous reports.
