Description Arne Woerner 2004-03-19 11:20:10 UTC
When I try to install FreeBSD CURRENT on my box (mainboard ECS, processor AMD Athlon 1700+), I get this error message (after pressing 'Q' in partitioning phase; and after trying to get a rescue shell; CD/Floppy install methods behave the same in this point):
softdep_disk_prewrite+0x3b: testb $0x10, 0x7b(%eax)

FreeBSD R5.1 works fine (installed by floppies in this setting)...

How-To-Repeat: just boot with install CD or install floppies and try to get a rescue shell or try to finish the partitioning phase
