Description Giorgos Keramidas freebsd_committer freebsd_triage 2004-07-21 16:20:17 UTC
Various parts of our documentation refer to disklabel(8) which is being
replaced by bsdlabel in 5.X and later versions of FreeBSD. Some time
after 5.X becomes -STABLE we might want to consider changing this to
bsdlabel(8) with a note to users of older versions.

Hopefully, this PR will remind us that this ought to be done :-)

I'm currently running a search in manpages and the doc+www trees
for references to "disklabel" that are still there. There have
been several commits related to this PR already, so I don't expect
to find too many "disklabel" references, but since I'll work on
this grab the PR.

Return this to the pool of freebsd-doc PRs. I haven't worked
on disklabel/bsdlabel changes for a while.

I've done this throughout the handbook, it was already done
in the system, PR can be closed. If others exist, we'll
find them.
