While it's true that having p4m, p3m and so forth might be useful to 
make the compile scripts more clear, I'd concur with David's 
statement on this item:  Because these options does not make actual 
change to the code generation, it might be only useful in the 
future.  So I close this PR.  If the current state changed, we may 
probably re-open it again.
