Bug 75417

Summary: ACPI: SATA Hard-disk
Product: Base System Reporter: Jean-Michel Philippon-Nadeau <stukov>
Component: amd64Assignee: Matteo Riondato <matteo>
Status: Closed FIXED
Severity: Affects Only Me
Priority: Normal
Version: Unspecified
Hardware: Any
OS: Any

Description Jean-Michel Philippon-Nadeau 2004-12-23 05:30:25 UTC
While trying to boot normally (with ACPI) everything freezes when the system is trying to detect the SATA hard-disk. But, when we boot without ACPI, we get the same freeze, but only for a short amount of time, then, the system boots up.

How-To-Repeat: Booting with ACPI on a ASUS SK8N with the Promise Controller and a SATA Hard-drive.
